my thoughts from the Shepard's Conference...

Christians vs American Church-goers:

Christians are known for staunch Biblical fidelity, American church-goers are desperate to keep up with the current societal trends of a fallen world - tossed to and fro by every wind of worldly doctrine.

The Fad-driven church flirts with Universalism, running from novelty to novelty instead of preaching the Word in season and out of season.

A Shepard - stands up to apostasy, calls out heretics by name (like Paul did), and points out false doctrine.

American Churches are full of leaders, rarely can a Shepard be found among them.  Most Christians have abandoned their prior goat-pins and gone off to find a sheep-fold to join.

Praise God that the death of the American Mega-Church is within sight!
